Clear as crystal

This morning we had free time in Waterford while waiting for our bus to Rosslare Harbour, so we did the Waterford Factory Tour, which was fascinating.  We saw where wooden moulds were made, the raw glass being blown into different shapes, and then the engraving process which is still done by hand (mostly).
Some of the pieces on display in the shop were very expensive - a hawk that took my fancy was €17,000 - and anyway too fragile to carry home in hand luggage.

We also visited another medieval tower and heard about a succession of battles and invasions of Waterford, which was founded by Vikings.
We caught a bus to Rosslare Harbour and will stay here overnight before getting up very early tomorrow to catch a ferry to Fishguard in Wales.  Here's a laundromat module in Rosslare like the one we used last night.
