Too many churches

We saw six churches and cemeteries today.  Each church had its own distinct character.
I liked the austere medieval St Mary's Church at Whaplode where Robert Cooke and Susan Delenoy married in 1782.  At St Margaret's Church in Clenchwarton June found three headstones of my Mountain ancestors and we were given  a cup of tea and a warm welcome.  Crowland Abbey looked amazing but we were just too late to see the interior as the guide was locking up. One church was holding a craft fair.  My travel tip is to record each photo and where you took it!

In between church visits we saw a lot of very flat farmland and drainage ditches.  Road kill included deer, foxes, badger and pheasants.  It's odd to think they are all native wildlife here.
Tomorrow will be a complete change of pace as we are returning the hire car and catching a bus and a train to London.
